CARS LAND

July 1st, 2012

AT LAST!! The boys have been SO EXCITED to see "Queen and Mater" at the new Cars Land in California Adventure. They have seen the commercials and the posters ALL OVER both parks and we were all finally able to go and see it. It has been beyond crowded and we were fortunate enough to catch it at a quieter moment. Both boys were completely mesmerized by everything. Aiden pointed out everything in Radiator Springs and they got to meet Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and Red the Fire Truck. Drew and Aiden even found a line for a ride that wasn't too bad. We will be back for sure!!

Wrapping up June

We had a lot of fun at the end of June. We had some play dates with Gracie and Nanny and the newest member Leilani.

We also had a great family movie night at Aiden's school. They showed the movie A Dolphin Tale on the handball court and we had BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs as well as popcorn and hot chocolate that the school provided. We loved having community with all the families of the school and getting to know some of Aiden's classmates better, I hope we get to do more of these.

Our everything!!

Happy 30th Uncle G!!

June 22nd

Jess decided that she was going to pull something fun off and came up with a surprise party for G. Fun right? But it gets better... she got in touch with his very close childhood friends and brought them all together. I thought this feet would have been impossible but with the help of a few people he was beyond surprised and beyond happy. Job well done Jess!!

18 Months

June 27th

Keegan is 19 months old but we just had his 18 month well baby check up today. He weighed 23 lbs and 6oz and was 32 3/8 inches long. That puts him in about the 25th percentile. His head is 49 1/4cm which is the 95 percentile. He will either be a late bloomer or Dr. Auth said there is a small possibility that the all steroids his sweet little body has had to ingest with his asthma, may have stunted his growth a little. He really is the sweetest little boy. Pretty much always happy and he learns really quick. He watches Aiden and learns what to do and what not to do.  He still pushes boundaries but he doesn't like to be disciplined so he will stop just short of getting in trouble. He's not big on cuddling which makes it all the better when he actually wants to. He yells at the top of his lungs when he sees someone he loves. Be it Mommy or Daddy or Aiden, Mammy, Ga, G or Jess. He is a very happy little man.  He is currently in a clingy phase but that is very common for his age. He prefers Mommy and next Daddy but as long as he is with one of us he is pretty easy. He is fascinated with his older brother and wants to be everywhere he is, but doesn't want Aiden touching him unless he touches Aiden first. He demands attention by either yelling your name or holding your face in between his hands. He has a contagious smile and a laugh that will have you holding your sides. He has the best little personality and his big brother his his biggest fan he is by far his favorite person on earth. They do fight, but in the end they are the best of friends. Aiden is always so proud to introduce his little brother "Keena"

It wouldn't be Summer without Palm Springs

The last week of June we headed out to Palm Springs for a little vacation for a couple days. Aiden and Keegan got back in the pool after a long hiatus. The golf course on the side of the resort we stay on was closed for renovation,  so the boys got to run around all over it. They had a blast.

Aiden's favorite pool because he can walk all over it :)

My mom had the pleasure of spending one of the days with my Godmother and she had a very special gift for my boys. This is a very special blanket that Aunt Sally made just for Keegan. He loved his blanket as you can see.

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

June 20th
Thank goodness!! Bring on the summer! We are all so ready. Today is also Aiden's last day of his first year of preschool and Keegan's last day of daycare. Tomorrow morning we all get to sleep in - WOOHOO!!! Aide will go to a few 1/2 days of summer school to see his friends. It was a bittersweet day for Kendal. It was her last day with several of her friends that she will miss very much.

Happy Daddy's Day

A week prior to Father's Day Aiden's school hosted a breakfast called Donuts with Dads and Drew was able to share this special day Aiden and have some sweet fun.

It was another fun Father's day at Church with Daddy. They got to do some miniature golfing and the boys LOVED that they got to actually touch a turtle. Then later that night we went and had dinner at Outback with Daddy and Ga. It was a fun day!
